Nicole Scherzinger stunned the audience with her powerful performance of "As If We Never Said Goodbye" from the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Sunset Blvd. at the 78th Tony Awards.

Wearing a simple black dress, Scherzinger, 46, brought the house down with her captivating performance, earning a standing ovation from the crowd at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 8.

Scherzinger's heartfelt performance was introduced by none other than Glenn Close, who originated the role of Norma Desmond and won a Tony for the show's 1993 Broadway debut. Close, 78, praised Scherzinger's performance, visiting her backstage after the show.

The iconic song "As If We Never Said Goodbye" is one of Andrew Lloyd Webber's most memorable tunes, and has been made famous by several artists, including Close, Barbara Streisand, and Chris Colfer.

Scherzinger is nominated for her first Tony Award for her Broadway debut performance, after previously winning the 2023 Laurence Olivier Award for Sunset Blvd.'s West End run. Her costar Tom Francis, who plays young screenwriter Joe Gillis, is also among the production's seven nominations.
