Actor Jake Thomas, best known for his role as Matt McGuire in the popular Disney show Lizzie McGuire, is taking a surprising leap into the world of digital gaming. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Thomas revealed that he will be playing the role of Marco Silva in the new game, which is set to be released on June 10.
Thomas, 35, expressed his excitement about the new project, stating that the game is a "massive action-adventure, highly cinematic game that really feels almost like you're playing a movie."
The game, which has been in development for over four years, will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. To mark the occasion, Thomas will be going live on Twitch, streaming the game with fans throughout the release week.
Thomas also shared his experience of being scanned into the game, saying, "Everything is digital, but it's me in the game, which is wild to me. I got completely scanned into the game, and they've basically just made a digital version of me."
Thomas added that he got to do his own stunts in the game, saying, "I get to do all my own stunts, which is fantastic. Although — I mean, I'm not jumping off any buildings in real life. In the digital world, maybe, but yeah, I got to do that from the safety of a studio."
