Rebecca Minkoff, who exited The Real Housewives of New York City in February, isn't shocked by Brynn Whitfield's recent departure from the show.
"I wasn't shocked at all," Minkoff, 44, exclusively tells PEOPLE. "I think that was in the cards before she even said she was leaving."
Whitfield, 39, announced her exit from the show on Monday, June 9, saying it was "the honor of a lifetime" to be part of the series.
Minkoff, who joined the show as a friend for season 15, will miss the "shared bond between the women" and the excitement of meeting fans.
When asked about the rumors that Lindsay Hubbard from Summer House will join the series, Minkoff says she's "crossing her fingers" that it's true. "She's great TV," Minkoff says.
