Sabrina Carpenter is entering a new era! The pop star surprised fans by revealing her seventh studio album, 'Man's Best Friend', which is due to be released on August 29, 2025.

"My new album, 'Man's Best Friend' is out on August 29, 2025," Carpenter wrote on Instagram. "I can't wait for it to be yours x Pre-order now."

The album follows Carpenter's LP 'Short n' Sweet', which was released last August and topped the charts.

Lead Single 'Manchild'

The lead single from her forthcoming album, 'Manchild', was released on Thursday, June 5. The track was written by Carpenter and her collaborators Jack Antonoff and Amy Allen.

Carpenter shared some insight into how her latest single came about. According to Carpenter, she wrote 'Manchild' on "a random" Tuesday with her collaborators not long after she finished her sixth album, 'Short n' Sweet'.

The song "became to me something I can look back on that will score the mental montage to the very confusing and fun young adult years of life."

"It sounds like the song embodiment of a loving eye roll and it feels like a never-ending road trip in the summer! Hence why I wanted to give it to you now - so you can stick your head out the car window and scream it all summer long!" she wrote.

Carpenter then thanked her fans for their support, adding, "and thank you men for testing me!!"
