Nicole Kidman has revealed the difficulties of filming Nine Perfect Strangers season 2, including the challenges of night shoots in the cold Austrian Alps.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Kidman, 57, and her costar Mark Strong, opened up about the second season of the Hulu hit series. Kidman is the only returning character, playing a Russian wellness guru named Masha who helps participants heal their trauma through the use of psychedelic drugs.
Kidman revealed that filming in the Austrian Alps was "invigorating," but the cold weather was a downside. "I love the Austrian Alps," she said. "I fell in love with that. There's something so invigorating about being outside and actually being on the locations and actually being really cold and walking in snow." However, she admitted that the night shoots in the cold were challenging. "I'm like, 'Okay, I'm tired and I'm cold.'"

Kidman's costar Mark Strong, who plays David Sharpe, Masha's love interest, revealed that Kidman was not a fan of the cold weather. "You hate the cold, don't you?" he teased. However, Kidman clarified that she likes the cold, but not the night shoots in the cold.
Kidman also revealed that she brought her family to Austria while filming, and they were able to enjoy the skiing and traveling around Europe. Her husband Keith Urban and their two daughters, Faith Margaret, 14, and Sunday Rose, 16, were able to visit her on set and enjoy the skiing.

As for the rest of the season, Kidman hinted that there is much more of each character's storyline to "unravel," citing Masha's "unpredictable" side. Strong added that it's a "beautiful, long slow burn over the whole series."
New episodes of Nine Perfect Strangers drop every Wednesday on Hulu.
