Jason Isaacs, known for his role as Timothy Ratliff on HBO's hit series The White Lotus, has opened up about his experience on the "gossipy" set in Thailand.

In a Q&A session held at Soho House West Hollywood on June 9, Isaacs revealed that the set was filled with cliques, not just among the actors, but also among the makeup, hair, and costume departments, as well as the admin department.

"Thailand's a long way from home for everybody," Isaacs said. "A lot of people [were] there in the hotel, away from home for seven months. It's hot. No one's got their families with them."

Isaacs, 62, took on a mentor role on the set, channeling his inner Yoda from Star Wars. "I'd sit there like Yoda," he said. "They would come to me. They would often go off and misbehave like children, and come back and want counsel. And I'd go, 'When I was your age…'"

Isaacs also revealed that he bonded with the actors playing his TV children - Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Sam Nivola - to keep from feeling "lonely" while filming in Thailand.

"So my kids came and looked after me," he said. "Patrick and Sam and Sarah Catherine knew I was by myself. They had smaller bedrooms anyway, so they wanted to come to the big guy's."

Isaacs also mentioned that he won't reveal any of the tension that happened between his co-stars, leaving that to the online detectives to figure out.
