Legendary actress Marla Gibbs marked a major milestone on Saturday, June 14, as she celebrated her 94th birthday. The iconic star, best known for her breakout performance as family maid Florence Johnston in the hit sitcom "The Jeffersons," took to social media to honor herself with a touching tribute.

Gibbs shared a throwback photograph of herself, captioning it, "Thank you all for the love. Remember God loves you and so do I. #marlagibbs #nevertoolate."
The actress has had a storied career in the entertainment industry, beginning in the early 1970s. Her breakout role in "The Jeffersons" earned her five Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Gibbs also starred in the spinoff "Checking In" and had a role in the NBC sitcom "227," which she co-produced and sang the theme song for.
Earlier this year, Gibbs received the Hollywood Legacy Award at the American Black Film Festival Honors in Los Angeles, where she expressed her openness to more acting opportunities. "I'm ready to do some more," she said, offering words of encouragement to aspiring actors.
Gibbs' impressive credits also include roles in "Station 19," "Grey's Anatomy," "The Meteor Man," "Lost & Found," "The Visit," "The Brothers," and "Madea's Witness Protection," among others.
