Cardi B is back with a vengeance! The 32-year-old rapper has released her first single of 2025, titled "Outside", after debuting it at a Spotify event in Cannes two days prior.
In an Instagram post, Cardi celebrated the release of her new song, writing "OUTSIDE 🎉 IS OUT NOW". She also shared a video on Instagram Stories, explaining that she made the song a few months ago when she was "very, very angry".
The summer anthem, produced by Charlie Heat and HeyMicki, is a reflection of Cardi's current state of mind, amidst her estrangement from Offset. In the song, she raps about her feelings towards her ex, saying "When I tell you these n----- ain't shit, please believe me (Let's go)" and "They gon' f--- on anything, these n----- way too easy (Facts) / Good for nothing, low-down, dirty dogs, I'm convinced (Yeah)".
Cardi performed "Outside" live for the first time during Spotify's Cannes event, where she also played her hit songs "I Like It", "Bodak Yellow", "Money", and "Up". Notably, she didn't mention Offset's name during her performance of "Bartier Cardi".
In a live X Spaces conversation in March, Cardi discussed her long-awaited sophomore album, saying that she won't have "a lot of features" and that she's "100 percent confident" with her new music.
