Love Island USA's Charlie Felt 'Sick' Seeing Hannah and Pepe's Date After Being Sent Home: 'It Should Have Been Me'

Charlie Georgio, the 27-year-old contestant on Love Island USA, has spoken out about his shock and disappointment after being voted off the show, just hours after he and Hannah Fields had professed their feelings for each other.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Charlie revealed that he felt "absolutely devastated" when he was sent home, and that it was a "brutal way to go". He also confessed that watching Hannah move on with new bombshell Pepe Garcia-Gonzalez made him feel "a little bit sick".

Charlie explained that he had felt a strong connection with Hannah, and that they had shared a "beautiful conversation" just hours before the voting took place. He thought that they would be coupled up, but instead, viewers voted to pair Hannah with Pepe, leaving Charlie to be sent home.

"It's not fair," Charlie said. "I want to watch my friends, but the truth is, I don't want to see Hannah and Pepe go on their journey now, because I can't help but feel there's a part of me that feels it should have been me."

Charlie also revealed that he hopes to return to the show for the mid-season "Casa Amor" twist, where the couples are split into different villas to explore connections with new bombshells. He wants a "second chance" to explore his connection with Hannah.

"I want them to send me back in there to go get her back," he said. "I think if they progress on their journey, and they're doing well, or even after Casa Amor, whatever's happened, send me back in. Let's see how real it is. Let's see what her reaction would be."
