Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is adding author to his impressive resume with the upcoming release of his debut children's book, "Better Than a Touchdown". The book, illustrated by Nenka Myers, is set to hit shelves in spring 2026.
In "Better Than a Touchdown", Hurts tells the story of a young boy named Jalen who dreams of joining his school football team. When the team is cut, Jalen and his friends must band together to find a way to save it. The book is a heartwarming tale of resilience, self-belief, and the importance of community.

Hurts, who is also the founder of The Jalen Hurts Foundation, hopes that his book will inspire young readers to believe in themselves and their abilities. "I hope this book strikes a chord of resilience, encourages self-belief and resonates with not only kids, but also teachers, mentors and parents," Hurts said in a statement.
The book is now available for preorder and will be published on March 10, 2026.
