Julie Chrisley has spoken out for the first time since her release from prison, sharing her emotional reaction to learning about her pardon in a preview of her upcoming interview on FOX News Channel's 'My View with Lara Trump'.
The 52-year-old reality TV star, who was released from prison on May 28, recalled the moment she found out she was granted a full pardon by President Donald Trump, relieving her of her 15-year sentence for bank fraud and tax evasion.
"I called Savannah one more time, and she said, 'He did it, he signed it,'" Julie shared. "And I just started busting out crying. And everyone was looking around, and then I just hung up. I was so nervous, I just hung up."
Julie's husband Todd Chrisley, 56, also shared his reaction to learning about his pardon, saying, "This guy stops me and goes, 'Man, I think you just got pardoned.' And I said, 'Yeah, okay.' And I just kept on walking."
The couple, who were sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison in 2022, expressed their gratitude to God and those who advocated for their release.
"God led the people to advocate for us," Todd said. "And so I'm grateful because every night I would pray that God would return me home to my wife and my children. And he did that, so I'm grateful."
The full interview with Julie, Todd, and their children Savannah and Grayson Chrisley will air on Saturday, June 28, at 9 p.m. ET during FOX News Channel's 'My View with Lara Trump'.
