Law & Order: SVU fans, rejoice! Mariska Hargitay has finally given us an answer to the question that has been on everyone's mind for over two decades: when will Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler finally get together?

In a recent episode of Call Her Daddy, Hargitay revealed that she thinks Benson and Stabler should seal the deal and get romantic on the show's final episode. "Maybe on the last episode," she said. "I think that's when they should be together."

However, she added that it should only happen "if it's right." The actress also emphasized that she and her co-star Christopher Meloni want to get it right when their characters finally take things to the next step.

Hargitay's comments come after a near-kiss between Benson and Stabler in season 24, which left fans eagerly waiting for more. The actress has previously said that both she and Meloni want to hold the tension and do what's right and truthful for both characters, rather than rushing into a romance.

Despite the will-they-won't-they dynamic between Benson and Stabler, Hargitay has praised her co-star, saying that he has had a "profound impact" on her life and career. "We are soulmates in a way. We are," she said of Meloni.
