Fans of the hit FX series The Bear were in for a treat when Brie Larson made a surprise cameo appearance in season 4, episode 7 as Francine, the sister of Neil (Matty Matheson) and Teddy (Ricky Staffieri). The highly anticipated arrival of Francine brought some much-needed answers to the mysterious feud between her and Natalie "Sugar" Berzatto (Abby Elliott).

Larson's character, dressed in a stunning floral yellow dress and headband, attended Tiff's (Gillian Jacobs) and Frank's (Josh Hartnett) wedding, where she reunited with Sugar in a dramatic confrontation. The tension between the two was palpable, with accusations flying back and forth over whipped cream, not having a cellphone, being drunk, and more in their shared past.

Although the introduction of Francine didn't provide all the answers to the duo's bitter feud, the episode did drop some hints about what caused the rift. Ted (played by Jeremy Allen White) teased a potential reason for the pair's fight, saying, "Pete's [Chris Witaske] in denial about these two hooking up." The claim caused Pete to scoff, adding, "You two did not hook up." Sugar and Francie exchanged a knowing look before Sugar said, "Well…".

By the end of the episode, the pair attempted to hash things out, with Sugar asking Francine if she wanted to try being friends again, adding, "You won't f--- me over?" The character of Francine has been mentioned since season 2 of The Bear, with Ted and Neil confirming that she had been banned from Christmas dinner due to "the thing" that made Sugar "mad".
