English soccer player Kian Harratt has issued an apology after a viral video allegedly showed him throwing a chair at a woman at a pool in Ibiza, Spain.
Harratt, 23, took to TikTok to address the incident, claiming that a "bully" at the pool instigated the scuffle between the groups. He described the man as "the worst man you could ever come across" and said he was "built like a brick" and "6,6" tall.
Harratt explained that the man was flirting with women at the pool, making people "feel uncomfortable," and eventually shouted at one of Harratt's friends, leading to a physical altercation. According to Harratt, the man hit his friend in the face and kicked him while he was down, prompting Harratt to throw a chair in response.
"I felt terrible, but I'd have felt even worse if we left my mate to get badly beaten up while he's trying to enjoy his holiday," Harratt said in his TikTok post.

Harratt's team, Oldham Athletic Football Club, has launched a "thorough investigation" into the incident, condemning "violence of any kind."
The video, recorded on June 21, shows the chair being thrown and hitting the woman, who falls to the ground. A second person appears to fall into the pool during the scuffle.
