John Sansone, 25, explains that they want to enjoy each other's company without the pressure of an engagement looming over them. "We're just going day by day, seeing how it goes," he says. "I think that's the best way to do it because if we start putting all this pressure and timelines and stuff on our relationship, it's just bound for trouble."

Claire, a 24-year-old pharmaceutical sales representative from Chicago, agrees, saying that their differences haven't been a problem in the real world. "I think we did a good job of being really true to ourselves on the show, and we have done our best not to change that," she shares. "We just celebrate our differences and learn from each other. It really hasn't been an issue for us."

John credits their strong communication as the key to their success. "One of the strongest things that we have together is our ability to communicate," he says. "I think that's what's kept us going so strong and also helped us to navigate our differences so well because we're able to just have normal, cool-headed conversations and learn from each other."

Claire adds that she was "pleasantly surprised" when John chose her in the finale because she "had no idea" what would happen. "I was going to put on my best smile because I love Lily so much," she notes of the runner-up, who she still considers a close friend. "I knew if he picked Lily it would be a great choice. But no, I had no idea."
