Ballerina Misty Copeland has shared her top six summer reads with Page Six, including a range of non-fiction, literary fiction, biographies, and even one of her own books.
"I've always turned to books for reflection, escape and growth," Copeland told Page Six. "Whether it's a story that mirrors my own journey or one that opens a window into an entirely different world, reading keeps me grounded and inspired."

'The Creative Habit' by Twyla Tharp
Copeland called the book a "powerful reminder that creativity isn't just about waiting for inspiration. It's about showing up with discipline, consistency and heart, values I try to carry into everything I do."

Copeland admitted to being "completely swept up in this story," which "feels so intimate" to her.

'Dancing on My Grave' by Gelsey Kirkland
Gelsey Kirkland was one of Copeland's favorite dancers growing up, and the trailblazing ballerina's story of dancing under high pressure and its consequences left "a huge impact" on Copeland.

'The Power of Now' by Eckhart Tolle
The Power of Now, a spiritual guide towards personal growth, was one of Copeland's early career reads, she said. "It helped me slow down and be more present, not just in my body, but in my life," she said, adding that she tends to return to the text when she needs to "reset and realign."
