Alix Earle Takes Red Carpet Beauty into Her Own Hands for 2025 AMAs

Alix Earle, the 24-year-old influencer, decided to take matters into her own hands when it came to her makeup for the 2025 American Music Awards. In a video shared on TikTok, Earle documented her entire makeup routine, admitting that she was a bit nervous about doing her own makeup for the first time on such a big stage.

"I've never done my makeup for a big red carpet before, and I'm presenting an award tonight, so I'm a little nervous," Earle said in the video. "It could be a major fail, and it could just not turn out well with all that lighting."

Earle, who normally takes around 10-15 minutes to do her makeup, decided to give herself an hour to get ready for the special occasion.

As she applied concealer around her nose to contour, Earle joked, "This is arguably the most important step of your makeup routine. Everyone says I do my nose backwards, but it's the only thing that works."

Earle finished off the look with a swipe of mascara, saying, "I went to Sephora this morning and I got a new mascara. I feel like when you have a new mascara, it makes a difference."

The final result was a subtle makeup look with soft brown eyeshadow and a neutral lip. Earle ended the video by showing off the finished look, saying, "Okay, here is the final glam. I think I did pretty good. But I'm a little scared for the carpet and the lighting."

Later, the presenter hit the red carpet in a simple black gown with a scoop neckline, completing her look with KWIAT jewelry and sandals with an embellished buckle.

Earlier this month, Earle was announced as the second contestant for the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars. On Thursday, May 22, she stopped by Good Morning America to celebrate her casting, noting that she's "always been a fan" of the show.

Earle also promised to give her fans the "inside scoop" on the drama and backstage secrets of the show, saying, "As someone who was glued to the TV last year with Dancing with the Stars and on social media, I'm like, give me the drama, what's the tea, who's dating, I wanna know."
