Travis Kelce Covers Up His 'Furry' Back Hair After Going Viral

Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs star, was spotted leaving the gym on May 22, 2025, with a notable absence - his shirt was on, covering up his body hair that had become a topic of conversation just two days prior.

Kelce opted for a navy tank top and black shorts, adding white slides and a gold chain to his look, and sported tousled hair as he carried his gym bag to the car. The sighting comes just two days after his hairy back sparked conversation - and even Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins got in on the joke.

"God bless Taylor Swift for being good with that," Cousins said during an interview with E! News on May 22. The quarterback added that Kelce's hairy back is probably "just genetics" and shared that he "thankfully" doesn't "have to deal with that."

Cousins also shared that based on what he's seen among his teammates, "That's just a part of life. It is what it is."

Travis Kelce Pokes Fun at Himself on His Podcast

Despite covering up for the cameras during his most recent gym session, he was able to poke fun at himself and his hairy back on the May 21 episode of his podcast New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce.

"I had the big beard, I had the long hair," Kelce recalled of playing sports with his schoolmates on the episode. "I had the chest hair, back hair, arm hair, leg hair. It's just a big ole Yeti out there, man. All the homies on the court were calling me 'Big Yeti.'"

Kelce added that he's not a big fan of the heat because he's a "furry son of a bitch."

"Me and heat just don't do well together," Kelce said.

Despite the heat, Kelce is sticking around Miami as he preps for the upcoming NFL season. The tight end was seen all over town this past week, between furniture shopping at a Restoration Hardware outlet in Boca Raton with his dad Ed Kelce - departing the store in an emerald green Rolls Royce - and enjoying a date night in West Palm Beach with Swift.
