Philadelphia Fans Treated to a Special Performance of "White Iverson" with NBA Legend Allen Iverson

Philadelphia fans witnessed a once-in-a-lifetime moment when Post Malone invited Allen Iverson on stage to perform his 2015 breakout hit "White Iverson" at Citizens Bank Park on Saturday, May 24, 2025. The rapper and singer shared an Instagram Reel of the performance, which showed Iverson, the NBA legend who inspired the song, hugging Malone.

Malone captioned the video: "ALLEN IVERSON LADIES & GENTLEMEN!!!", while Iverson's own Instagram Reel caption read: "Being a inspiration is golden! Shout out to @postmalone and shout out to Philadelphia! Ain't nothing like Philly love!"

Fans were thrilled by the team-up at Malone's The Big Ass Stadium Tour with Jelly Roll. One Instagram user wrote, "Gave us some of the best years Philly has ever seen . Another commented, "I'm so glad you're getting your flowers while you're still here. The media always tried to portray you as a bad guy, but we the people have and will always love you!!" A fan wrote, "My favorite player of allllll time. I stopped watching after he left Philly. He deserves all his ."

This past weekend wasn't the first time Malone met Iverson. Malone opened up about their first encounter in a 2017 statement to Billboard. "I met the legend last night, and there'd be no 'White Iverson' without him," he told the publication. "I'm still tripping at how sick it was, and as A.I. says, 'The culture has no boundaries.'"

Malone's first official single and hit "White Iverson," was released in 2015. The track peaked at No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 and is now certified Diamond. It became the lead single of his 2016 debut album Stoney.

Iverson was on the 76ers for 12 seasons and led the team to the NBA Finals in 2001. That year, he also won his first MVP trophy. Malone will continue The Big Ass Stadium Tour stateside through July before heading overseas.
