Reneé Rapp Reveals Girlfriend Towa Bird Was 'So F------ Mean' to Her When They Met

Reneé Rapp is opening up about the hilarious beginnings of her love story with Towa Bird. During a recent episode of Good Hang with Amy Poehler, the actress and pop star revealed that she and the British singer-songwriter, 26, didn't exactly have the sweetest start.

Rapp, 25, thought the "Drain Me!" artist was "sexy" and knew of her before they even met. "I just always thought she was so f---ing cool," she said. Rapp recalled asking one of her best friends to introduce her to Bird, but they said she wasn't necessarily "in a place in her life" where she was ready to meet someone.

"I said, 'I couldn't give a f--- less. I'm not either, but I'm gonna meet her. We need to at least be friends," the Sex Lives of College Girls alum said.

After the pair were introduced, Rapp revealed that Bird was "so f---ing mean" to her, but she "loved it." "She's scary," the "Leave Me Alone" singer said. "Well, she's like from the U.K., so, like, her humor is super different. She's also just like, such a bitch."

Rapp recalled telling Bird that she had heard "so much" about her, and the "Wild Heart" artist replied: "Why are you talking about me so much then?"

Amy Poehler noted that Bird was "really negging" her. Rapp also revealed that her girlfriend was the one to tell her "I love you" first.

Rapp and Bird made their red carpet debut as a couple at Vanity Fair's Oscars afterparty in March 2024 after hitting the road together for Rapp's Snow Hard Feelings Tour.

In the past, Bird gushed about working with Rapp to Euphoria Magazine, saying she was "so authentically herself" and learned "so much" from her on tour.

Prior to their romance, Rapp was linked to TikToker Alissa Carrington, whom she dated for almost a year before confirming their split in February 2024.
