Sarah Jessica Parker is opening up about the iconic and tumultuous relationship between her character Carrie Bradshaw and Mr. Big (Chris Noth) in Sex and the City and its sequel series And Just Like That...
In an interview with E! News, Parker, 60, described the relationship as "messy" and "wonderful" at the same time. "It was romantic, and it was a disaster," she said. "It was destructive, and it was healthy."
Parker also spoke about the emotional challenge of filming Mr. Big's death in And Just Like That..., saying it was "really, really hard to do both professionally and personally."
The actress continued, "It was really sad to say goodbye to that. It's not like I needed it for my own health or wellbeing, but that was a hugely wonderful story to tell for a lot of years."
In the upcoming third season of And Just Like That..., Carrie is seen grieving as a widow and later rekindling her past romance with old flame Aidan Shaw (John Corbett).
In a trailer for the new season, she is heard narrating, "There's nothing like summer in New York City, with its hot days and even hotter nights. Something new and unexpected always awaits."
Season three of And Just Like That... premieres on May 29 on HBO Max at 9 p.m. EST.
