Sarah Jessica Parker Opens Up About Mr. Big's Death on And Just Like That...

Sarah Jessica Parker is sharing her thoughts on how the death of Carrie Bradshaw's love interest, Mr. Big, on And Just Like That... impacted her. Parker said that following the loss of Mr. Big, she felt "really untethered," noting that she was "really sad to say goodbye" to that character.

Mr. Big's death came shortly before sexual assault allegations against actor Chris Noth came to light, which he has since denied.

"It just felt really untethered," Parker told E! News in a new interview. "It was really sad to say goodbye to that."

Parker, 60, has played the beloved Carrie Bradshaw since the start of her hit series Sex and the City in 1998. Mr. Big (Chris Noth) was one of Bradshaw's main loves throughout the series, with the couple officially tying the knot in the 2008 Sex and the City movie.

But in 2021, fans were shocked when Mr. Big died of a heart attack in Carrie's arms during the premiere of the franchise's newer iteration, And Just Like That...

"Big dying was really, really hard to do both professionally and personally," Parker told E! News. "That's not just a thread. It's one of the main arteries that you would struggle to do without."

She added of Big's abrupt exit, "It was really sad to say goodbye to that."

In season 2 of the series, Carrie reunited with her other main love interest, Aiden Shaw (John Corbett), who will return for season 3 later this year.

And Just Like That... season 3 premieres on HBO Max May 29.
