As Josh Allen prepares to tie the knot with Hailee Steinfeld, his coach Sean McDermott says the Buffalo Bills quarterback is keeping his cool with the big day approaching quickly.
Speaking to the Associated Press after the first day of Bills' voluntary practice on Tuesday, McDermott said Allen is "as confident and as calm, cool and collected as he always is."
The outlet also attempted to get McDermott to confirm the date of the wedding, to which the head coach replied, "Good try on that."
Allen and Steinfeld have kept the details of their ceremony private, but the quarterback's teammate Dion Dawkins accidentally revealed May 31 as their likely wedding date during an interview with NFL Network in March.
Allen's Coach Calls Him the 'Face of Our Organization'
McDermott went on to call Allen the "face of our organization" and the "leader of our team" while chatting with the AP. "Like any leader, in particular the leader of the team, those words that he says and his actions are exponentially impactful, to the whole roster, the whole team."
Allen is coming off an MVP-winning season with the Bills, to which he credited Steinfeld for her support and said she had been a "huge part" of making it happen. "The morale, the support. When I get home, she's my biggest fan, my biggest supporter. She's just the best," he told reporters in December.
Allen first confirmed his and Steinfeld's relationship with an Instagram post. The carousel of images included one of the couple in Paris and another at an Allen family gathering.
