David Lim, who played Victor Tan on all eight seasons of 'S.W.A.T.', has expressed his disappointment over the spinoff announcement, feeling "brushed aside" after the original series' cancellation.

Lim took to Instagram to reflect on his time on the show, saying, "Being a part of S.W.A.T. for the past 8 seasons has been one of the great honors of my life." He praised the cast's "effortless chemistry" and the bond between them, stating that what made the show special "wasn't just the action, or one character," but rather the shared blood, sweat, tears, and laughs.

Lim then turned his attention to the spinoff, 'S.W.A.T. EXILES', which was announced mere days following the series finale. The only confirmed returning cast member from 'S.W.A.T.' is Shemar Moore's Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson.

"I'd be lying if I said the rollout of the new spinoff didn't sting," Lim said. "It was tough to see it announced just two days after our finale — with no mention of the cast who helped build S.W.A.T. from day one."

Lim felt that this turn of events "felt like we were brushed aside when there could've been a moment of reflection and recognition — for the people who built this show, and for the impact it had on so many."

Meanwhile, Sony Pictures TV President Katherine Pope told Variety that fans could expect some "favorites" from S.W.A.T. to pop up on EXILES.

Sharing the post to his Instagram Stories, Lim wrote, "Closing the chapter. Grateful for the ride. 🖤."

Hours after news of the spinoff broke, Moore shared an Instagram video in which he called himself the "Tom Brady of S.W.A.T." and addressed him being the only cast member announced to return, calling his former co-stars "a strong squad, a family, a team."
