Kate Winslet's daughter, Mia Threapleton, has never seen her mother's iconic film Titanic in its entirety. In a recent interview with Defined magazine, Threapleton, 24, revealed that her mother blocked her from watching the famous sex scene with DiCaprio.

According to Threapleton, her mother would never opt to put the film on, and Threapleton understands why. She recalled the car scene happening and her mother covering her eyes, saying, "I can still hear everything!"

Winslet shares her daughter Mia with ex-husband Jim Threapleton, whom she divorced in 2001. The Oscar winner also shares son Joe Alfie Mendes, 21, with ex Sam Mendes, and youngest son Bear, 11, with husband Edward Abel Smith.

Interestingly, Winslet told E! News in September 2024 that her son Bear had just seen Titanic for the first time the year prior, and he cried a lot, having to pause the movie several times.

Threapleton has been acting in movies and television herself since her onscreen debut in 2014's A Little Chaos. She and Winslet even costarred in a 2022 episode of the U.K. series I Am as a mother-daughter duo.

The Phoenician Scheme marks Threapleton's largest role to date. While speaking with Defined, she said that acting professionally "was not something that was ever impressed upon me" by her mother while growing up.

Threapleton expressed gratitude for her mother's approach, saying it allowed her to experience and achieve things on her own.

The Phoenician Scheme is in theaters May 30.
