Rachael Leigh Cook and Freddie Prinze Jr. are taking it back to the '90s! The iconic duo, who memorably played high school sweethearts in the 1999 teen romantic comedy She's All That, are reuniting for a new holiday film titled The Christmas Affair.

Cook, 45, and Prinze, 49, are working with producer Jennifer Gibgot, who co-produced She's All That, on the new movie, which follows the pair as sports broadcasters Natalie and Gabe, "who form an unlikely alliance after their spouses are caught cheating weeks before Christmas."

"As holiday chaos and media attention mount, they begin to fall for each other," an official synopsis for the movie reads. "But is this just a rebound…or the start of a real Christmas romance?"

Cook shared an article regarding the announcement on Instagram Thursday, May 29 and wrote, "I ❤️ Freddie, my 🦊 FOX Family, New York and Christmas🎄 so I could not be more excited to announce this !!!"

Prinze hinted to PEOPLE in an August 2024 interview that he and Cook were working on a new movie together. "I got an email from Rachael Leigh Cook about a movie we’re trying to do together," he said at the time "We’re still really good friends. . . It’ll be a romantic comedy but not related to She’s All That. I think that ship has sailed."

While no sequel to She's All That was ever produced, Cook did appear in a 2021 Netflix gender-swapped version of the movie titled He's All That as Addison Rae's character's mother.
