Reality star Julie Chrisley was spotted running errands in Nashville on Thursday, marking her first public appearance since her release from prison.
The 52-year-old was seen with her natural gray hair and a smile on her face, as she went about her day in Nashville. This comes just a day after she and her husband Todd Chrisley were released from federal custody after President Donald Trump issued them full pardons.
The Chrisley Knows Best stars were initially sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison in 2022 after being convicted of tax evasion and bank fraud. However, their sentences were reduced by about two years each in September 2023.
President Trump's Pardon
On Tuesday, May 27, President Trump announced that he was issuing full pardons to the couple, citing that they were given "harsh treatment" based on what he had heard.
In a video, he told the Chrisley kids that their parents would be "free and clear" and wished them "good luck."
The next day, the pardon was officially signed, and the couple was released from prison.
The Chrisley Family's Reaction
Their daughter Savannah Chrisley, 27, was seen waiting outside the Florida facility where her dad was being held, wearing an all-pink outfit with a "Make America Great Again" top and matching trucker hat with Trump's name on both.
She later shared a discreet photo on her Instagram Stories, captioning it: "Reunited and it feels so good!"
Background on the Case
The couple was first indicted in August 2019 and were found guilty in 2022. They have been appealing their case, with Todd's appeal being upheld, while Julie's was initially granted due to insufficient evidence, but later ruled that her original punishment was sufficient.
Savannah has been vocal about her support for her parents and has been documenting their journey leading up to their release.
