Rosie O'Donnell made a memorable appearance as a virgin nun named Mary in the season 3 premiere of "And Just Like That..." The episode, titled "Outlook Good," saw O'Donnell's character meet Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) at a lesbian bar before taking her back to her hotel room, where the two shared a romantic encounter.
When Miranda asked Mary about her first time, Mary revealed that she was a virgin, and Miranda jokingly replied, "So, you deflowered the Virgin Mary?"
O'Donnell's character continued to pursue Miranda, inviting her to dinner and even sending her texts. However, Miranda eventually put a stop to it, telling Mary that she shouldn't do anything solely based on her feelings.
The episode also saw cameos by Broadway star and Tony winner James Monroe Iglehart, while later episodes are set to include Kristen Schaal, Rosmarie DeWitt, and Patti LuPone, who will have a small arc on the show.
In addition to her guest appearance on "And Just Like That...", O'Donnell recently made a surprise appearance on season 4 of "Hacks" opposite Jean Smart's Deborah Vance, who is receiving a Courage in Comedy award as part of a publicity stunt to boost ratings for her flailing late-night show.
O'Donnell has made notable appearances on "A League of Their Own" and "The L Word: Generation Q" in addition to starring on "American Gigolo" and "I Know This Much Is True."
"And Just Like That..." season 3 airs Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. PT/9:00 p.m. ET on Max.
