Savannah Chrisley Speaks Out in First Interview Since Todd and Julie's Prison Release

Savannah Chrisley, the 27-year-old daughter of Todd and Julie Chrisley, has spoken out in her first interview since her parents' prison release on May 28, after President Donald Trump issued full and unconditional pardons.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Savannah shared how her family is adjusting to life after her parents' release. "Oh my gosh, it has been amazing. It's still just kind of ... it doesn't feel real," she said. "We were going to bed last night. We're like, 'Is this real?' And then, I wake up this morning and my mom's walking into my bedroom and I'm like, it's absolutely insane!"

Savannah also shared that her parents are still in shock and adjusting to normal life after two and a half years in prison. "I do know that they're doing great," she said. "It's obviously an adjustment... I think they're kind of just in shock right now."

The Chrisley family has been through a lot, with Todd and Julie being convicted of tax fraud in 2022 and sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison. However, they were released early after President Trump issued full and unconditional pardons.

Savannah has been a strong advocate for prison reform and has been working with organizations to bring about change. "This doesn't just stop at my family," she said. "What ignited this flame was obviously my parents and fighting for them and getting them home. But once I saw the system and how broken it was, and I started to foster relationships with these men and women that are in prison, I just knew that I had to do something about it."

Savannah's parents are also committed to helping others who have been affected by the prison system. "I know that they just have a heart now. They have a heart for these men, women that are in prison and who they feel like they've left behind," Savannah said.
