The wait is over for tennis enthusiasts as tickets for the 2025 US Open have gone on sale, with the tournament set to kick off on August 18 in New York City.
Although the tournament is still months away, fans can secure their spot for any of the days during the three-week tournament. Individual tickets became available to the public following an American Express presale, which granted members early access on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.
Costly Tickets for the Men's Final
A pair of courtside tickets to the men's singles final at Arthur Ashe Stadium on September 7 was listed for $60,503 — or $30,251 each — via VividSeats, while Ticketmaster had seats listed for $17,422 and higher. Seats for the women's final on the day before cost as high as $8,619 on VividSeats.
These prices are not final, with costs fluctuating as spectators buy out available spaces — even without knowing who among the men's and women's brackets will be playing at this year's tournament or in the final rounds.
According to Sports Illustrated, just days into the 2024 championship, tickets for the men's final match were as high as $23,000 while the seats for the women's final were listed for $3,058.
Past Champions and Upcoming Tournament
In 2024, Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka were the men's and women's singles champions, while both defending title holders Novak Djokovic and Coco Gauff were knocked out in earlier rounds.
The Australian Open handed out titles earlier this year, when the competition unfolded between January 12 and January 26 in Melbourne. The men's singles was won by Sinner, the current world No. 1 player, while Madison Keys, who is ranked No. 19, defeated Sabalenka, the current No. 1, for the women's singles title.
The 2025 US Open, a hardcourt tournament, takes place from Monday, August 18 to Saturday, September 7 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows–Corona Park, Queens. More information about tickets can be found at USOpen.org.
