Angela Oakley, star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, has opened up about the struggles in her marriage to husband Charles Oakley, revealing that her failed house flipping projects have put a significant strain on their relationship.
In the season 16 finale of the show, Angela confessed that she had lost millions of dollars on her real estate ventures, leading Charles to refuse to invest further. The couple had been working to repair trust in their relationship amid cheating rumors, and Angela admitted she felt "so bad" for not listening to Charles' advice about her business dealings.
Angela explained that she had been trying to sell her investment properties, but the emotional, physical, and financial toll was "too much." She has since reduced the price on all of the homes and has accepted that she will "just lose them."
"These houses have put a strain on our marriage," Angela said. "Because I'm constantly asking Charles to pump more money into these properties, and now he's at a point where he doesn't want to."
The couple's therapist, Wendy, helped Angela to reflect on how she went against Charles' advice when she pursued her real estate ventures. Angela admitted that she felt "so bad" about not listening to him and acknowledged that she had put their marriage at risk.
The episode also saw Angela confront a man who had approached her with rumors about Charles cheating. The man accused Phaedra Parks of being behind the encounter, which Phaedra denied.
As the episode came to a close, Angela and Charles' relationship was left hanging in the balance, with Charles leaving Angela behind in frustration.
