Vin Diesel has made a surprise announcement that will delight fans of the Fast & Furious franchise. During his appearance at FuelFest over the weekend, Diesel revealed that the final film in the action franchise will reunite his character Dom with the late Paul Walker's character Brian.
Diesel, 57, told the crowd that he had three conditions for the final film, including bringing the franchise back to Los Angeles, returning to the car culture and street racing, and reuniting Dom and Brian.
The late Paul Walker tragically died in a car crash in 2013 at the age of 40. His character Brian was a protagonist in the Fast & Furious films, starting with the original in 2001 and ending with a posthumous appearance in Furious 7 in 2015.

Fans of the franchise will be thrilled to know that Walker's character will make an appearance in some form in the upcoming 11th Fast & Furious film, Fast X: Part 2. The film is rumored to be the final entry in the franchise and will serve as a sequel to 2023's Fast X.
Ludacris, who plays Tej Parker in the franchise, recently spoke to PEOPLE about Fast X: Part 2, calling out the upcoming 25-year anniversary of the first film next year.
While details about the film are still scarce, fans can rest assured that Vin Diesel and the rest of the cast are working hard to bring a fitting conclusion to the beloved franchise.
