Misa Hylton, the ex-partner of Sean "Diddy" Combs, has broken her silence after attending his criminal trial in New York City last week. The fashion designer took to Instagram to explain why she decided to attend the trial in support of their 31-year-old son, Justin Combs.

Hylton, 52, shared a lengthy caption alongside a photo of herself using a walker at the courthouse, explaining that she was using a walker due to a recent leg injury.

"When my son said, 'Mommy, I need you,' I was right there for him walker and all," Hylton wrote. "I'm a MOTHER FIRST, FOR REAL, and I am my son's strength and that's just what it is. Plain and simple."

Hylton, who dated Combs in the early '90s, also shared a message addressing the use of her walker: "To all of my temporarily disabled and disabled people, don't ever be ashamed of your condition or the need to use the medical tools created to assist in your healing or the way you need to move around in this world."

The fashion designer also shared a brief message concluding the post, saying, "If you have God in your heart, pray for us all. Be kind, use critical thinking and hold your head high."

Combs, 55, and Hylton welcomed their son Justin in December 1993. Though they broke up shortly after, they have remained close, and Hylton has been photographed with Combs at many events since.

Hylton has also been outspoken about the allegations against her ex. After Combs' Los Angeles home was raided in March 2024, Hylton criticized the Homeland Security agents' use of "overzealous and overtly militarized force" against Justin and his brother, Christian "King" Combs, who were handcuffed during the raid.

Combs, who was arrested in September 2024, has denied all of the allegations against him and pleaded not guilty to five criminal counts, including one count of racketeering conspiracy; two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion; and two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.

His trial, which began with opening statements on May 12, is expected to last several weeks. The mogul is currently being held without bail at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. If convicted, he faces a potential life sentence.
