Connie Francis, the 87-year-old music legend, has become an unlikely sensation on TikTok with her 1962 song "Pretty Little Baby" has taken off on the platform, with creators filming videos of themselves lip-syncing to the song's catchy lyrics.

Francis, who was unaware of the song's viral status, had a hilarious response when told about it. "What's that?" she asked, clearly out of touch with modern music terminology.

The song, which was originally released as a B-side to the single "I'm Gonna Be Warm This Winter," has been used in nearly 15 million clips on the platform, with stars like Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian lip-synching to the song with their daughters.

The song's success has also led to it being streamed over 20 million times on Spotify, with it now sitting at No. 67 on the platform's Global Top 100 chart.

Francis, who was 23 years old when the song was first released, has expressed her gratitude to TikTok and its users for giving her song a new lease on life. "I am thrilled and overwhelmed at the success of 'Pretty Little Baby.' I recorded that song 63 years ago and to know that an entire new generation now knows who I am, and my music is thrilling for me. Thank you so much everybody, thank you TikTok," she said in a statement.

Francis, who is now retired and living in Florida, has had a remarkable career, with hits like "Everybody's Somebody's Fool" and "Stupid Cupid." She has also faced her share of challenges, including mental health struggles and a recent health scare.

Francis is also having a moment on Broadway, with a musical based on the life of Bobby Darin, with whom she had a brief relationship. The show, titled "Just in Time," features Francis as a character, played by Sex Lives of College Girls star Gracie Lawrence.
