Actress Jessica Biel has revealed that her 10-year-old son Silas is an aspiring DJ who even DJ'd his own party. The proud mom shared the news in an interview with E! News, where she talked about her new Amazon Prime TV series and her kids' interests in their parents' careers.
The actress, who shares Silas and 4-year-old Phineas with her husband Justin Timberlake, said that her older son has a confidence and attitude that's coming out. "He's an aspiring DJ and DJ'd his own 10th birthday party," Biel said. "He was working his party, and it was so fun. He mixes things from Jackson 5 to Justin to old school stuff, doo-wop stuff, I mean everything."
Biel has previously expressed her desire to keep her kids out of the public eye and off social media for as long as possible, so they can form their own opinions. She wants her kids to learn before entering the workforce, saying, "If he was a kid actor, he'd probably work all the time. And when you're 18 years old, you want to be a professional? Have at it. That's your choice. That's what I would like to hold on to, if possible, for him, you know?"
In another interview with InStyle, Biel shared that she was surprised by her role as a rule enforcer as a mom. She said, "Sometimes. But it's not really my style. I just sort of thought Justin's going to be the rule enforcer and that's the way it's gonna be. I'm a Pisces, I'm more emotional, gentle easygoing and whatever, but I'm kind of good at it. I drop a boundary and I'm like, Nope. 'You can't cross it.' "
