Justin Bieber is apologizing to his wife, Hailey Bieber, after revealing that he once told her she would "never be on the cover" of the magazine.

The singer, 31, shared photos from Hailey's recent Vogue cover shoot along with a caption that sparked a mix of reactions from fans. In the post, Justin recalled telling Hailey, 28, that she would never be on the cover of Vogue, saying it was a "mean" thing to say.

"Yo this reminds me when Hailey and I got into a huge fight," he began in the caption. "I told hails that she would never be on the cover of vogue. Yikes I know, so mean."

Justin explained that he slung the insult because he "felt so disrespected" and "thought I gotta get even." However, he realized that "we're not helping anything by getting even" and instead, "we're honestly just prolonging what we really want which is intimacy and connection."

He concluded the post with an apology to Hailey, saying, "So baby u already know but forgive me for saying u wouldn't get a vogue cover cuz clearly i was sadly mistaken."

Fans are split on Justin's remarks, with some coming to his defense and others commending him for owning up to his hurtful words.

In the Vogue article, Justin praised his wife, saying, "I've done a lot of dumb things in my life, but the smartest thing I've ever done was marry Hailey."

Also spoke about the online scrutiny that Hailey faces, saying, "She's in the spotlight, and has the attention because of her effortless knack for style, business, art and fashion. And the way she makes being a mom and wife look easy."

Hailey shared that she takes Justin's advice when it comes to dealing with criticism, saying, "I've learned so much from Justin, really. He's been doing this literally since he was a child and he has had to face the most scrutiny of any person that I know."
