Country singer Riley Green has shocked fans by shaving off his signature mustache, revealing a fresh-faced selfie on Instagram.

The 36-year-old country star, who recently set the record straight about his relationship status, shared a bare-faced selfie on his Instagram Stories on Tuesday, May 20. In the snap, Green is seated in a car, wearing a blue button-down shirt and a white backward baseball hat, but noticeably without his iconic mustache.

"Never let em know your next move," Green wrote alongside the photo, adding the hashtag #shegone.

Fans are still reeling from Green's transformation, especially since fellow country star Ella Langley encouraged him to keep his mustache for their music video "You Look Like You Love Me" earlier this month.

In a TikTok video shared by Baton Rouge, La., radio station 100.7 The Tiger, Langley addressed Green's facial hair backstage after the Academy of Country Music Awards on Thursday, May 8.

Langley said she told Green that he couldn't shave his mustache off, at least for the music video, as she wanted it to look like an "old Western."

"... and so here we are still, a year later, and I don't think he can get rid of the 'stache. We're stuck this way," Langley added.

Green and Langley's duet won Single of the Year, Music Event of the Year, and Visual Media of the Year at the 2025 ACMs.
