Senior White House correspondent for Fox News, Jacqui Heinrich, has confirmed her engagement to U.S. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Penn.) in a romantic proposal in Provence, France.
According to People, Fitzpatrick, 51, popped the question on June 29, during a summer trip to France, which was initially planned as a birthday gift for Heinrich, who turns 37 in November.
The proposal took place in a lavender field in Valensole, a town in Provence known for its lavender and truffles. Fitzpatrick, a five-term congressman and former FBI special agent, had been planning the perfect moment, inspired by Heinrich's dream of eating her way through the French Riviera and Provence, as mentioned in an interview with the Boston Globe last summer.
Heinrich, who has been dating Fitzpatrick since the 2021 Kennedy Center Honors, said yes to the proposal, and the couple shared the news with friends and colleagues, including Fox News contributors Joe Concha, Trey Yingst, and Jessica Tarlov, who congratulated them on social media.
In an interview with People, Heinrich gushed about her fiancé, saying, "I love his brain... I love the way he approaches problem-solving and solving complex issues. He's strong and a man of faith, who brings me closer to God. He's sweet and gentle and kind — all of the easy qualities in a person that just make him a joy to be around and life brighter."
Fitzpatrick, who is licensed as an attorney, certified public accountant, and emergency medical technician, according to his website, will surely bring a unique set of skills to their future together.
