Justin Bieber Says Marrying Hailey Bieber Is the 'Smartest Thing' He's Ever Done

Justin Bieber is grateful to have Hailey Bieber as his partner in life. In a recent Vogue profile, the 31-year-old singer opened up about the importance of his marriage to Hailey, 28.

"I've done a lot of dumb things in my life, but the smartest thing I've ever done was marry Hailey," Justin said.

The couple tied the knot in 2018 with a civil ceremony, followed by a star-studded wedding in 2019. They welcomed their son, Jack Blues, on August 23, 2024.

In the article, Hailey opened up about trying to "correct a narrative" amid public scrutiny. "I've fought so hard to try to get people to understand me, or know who I am, or see me for me," she said. "And people just don't want to sometimes."

Justin also praised Hailey's ability to balance being a mom and wife, saying, "She's in the spotlight, and has the attention because of her effortless knack for style, business, art, and fashion. And the way she makes being a mom and wife look easy."

Hailey also addressed the online criticism she faces, saying that anytime she tries to "correct a narrative," people accuse her of lying. She has adopted Justin's philosophy when it comes to dealing with public scrutiny.

"I've learned so much from Justin, really," Hailey said. "He's been doing this literally since he was a child and has had to face the most scrutiny of any person that I know. He was like, 'Baby, trust me, I've been here before many, many times. You're not going to win. There is no winning.'"

Hailey also spoke about the challenges of being a new mom and dealing with public speculation about her marriage. "Being postpartum is the most sensitive time I've ever gone through in my life, and learning a new version of myself is very difficult," she said. "And to be doing that all the while going on the internet every day and people being like, 'They're getting divorced' and 'They're this' and 'They're not happy,' it is such a mindf----."
