Charli XCX is ready to move on from her 2024 album "Brat," which won three Grammy Awards and took home three awards, including Best Recording Package and Best Dance/Electronic Album, while the song "Von Dutch" won for Best Dance Pop Recording. In an interview with Culted, Charli XCX spoke about whether replicating the success of her 2024 album "Brat" is something she's chasing with upcoming music.
"I don't really feel the pressure to create another record like Brat because when I was making it, even though I really believed in it and totally knew what I wanted to do with it, I had no idea how it would be received," Charli XCX said.

The "Von Dutch" singer continued, "I was really doing it for myself and marketing it in the way I wanted to for myself, but I had no clue that people would kind of connect to it in the way that they did."
Charli XCX added, "So yeah, I don't really feel the pressure because I feel that you can never really do the same thing twice and my next record will probably be a flop — which I'm down for."
The 2024 summer was dubbed "Brat Summer" due to the album's cultural impact. The album's chartreuse album cover and the song "Apple" becoming a TikTok trend also played a significant role in the trend.
Democratic presidential candidate and former vice president Kamala Harris was even declared "Brat" by Charli XCX herself.
Charli XCX's comments come after she won three Grammy Awards at the 2025 ceremony, including Best Recording Package and Best Dance/Electronic Album, while the song "Von Dutch" won for Best Dance Pop Recording.
