Olivia Wilde has completed directing her new movie, 'The Invite', which marks her first directorial venture since 2022's 'Don't Worry Darling'. The film features an all-star cast, including Seth Rogen, Penélope Cruz, and Edward Norton.

Wilde took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes photo from the set, expressing her gratitude to the entire production team. "I don't yet have the words to say how meaningful this experience has been. So for now, I just want to say THANK YOU to every brilliant, kind, hilarious person who made this production happen. I can't wait to show the world what we all made together," she wrote.

'The Invite' is a "provocative date night comedy" loosely based on the 2020 Spanish film 'Sentimental'. It follows a couple who invites their neighbors over, leading to an evening full of unexpected twists and turns, revealing deeply repressed emotions and unexplored sexuality.

Wilde's collaboration with Rogen on 'The Invite' comes after she made a cameo as herself on his Apple TV+ series The Studio, where they worked together on an episode that follows a fictional mystery about missing film reels on a movie Wilde is directing.

Wilde's post was accompanied by a photo of herself kneeling on the ground, working with filmmaking equipment on the set of 'The Invite'. The photo was captioned "BTS of The Invite. Which we just wrapped after shooting for 23 days, in order, on film, with some of the greatest humans ever made."
