SZA's stunning appearance at the 2025 American Music Awards (AMAs) was almost marred by a wardrobe malfunction. The singer, who took home two awards that night, struggled to walk up the stairs to her skintight Ellie Misner set.

The Struggle Was Real

As SZA attempted to take the stage to accept her award for Favorite Female R&B Artist, she realized that her ultra-tight skirt was making it difficult for her to climb the stairs. She required assistance from two people, who flanked her on either side, to help her reach the stage.

As she tried to jump up the stairs, her top almost slipped, but thankfully, her sparkly pasties saved the day. The singer laughed off the almost-mishap and took a moment to readjust her top before continuing up the stairs.

Laughing It Off

SZA later poked fun at the incident on social media, reposting a video of herself struggling and writing, "Lmaooo a slippery slope." She also revealed that her sparkly pasties were from an adult entertainment club in Houston called Area 29.

The singer's sleek AMAs look, styled by Dunsin Wright, consisted of the perfectly tailored Ellie Misner set and her instantly iconic glitter pasties.
