Original Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman has given her seal of approval to Kerry Washington's upcoming reboot of the series, titled Wisteria Lane.

Huffman, 62, who played Lynette Scavo on the hit ABC show, stopped by Good Morning America on Wednesday, May 28, to share her thoughts on the new project.

"Isn't that great? They're gonna do Wisteria Lane with women of color, and I am all for it," Huffman said, adding, "I'm gonna do craft service for it," Huffman joked, "But I just think it's wonderful, and I'm a huge fan of Kerry's."

When asked who she'd like to see play her character on the new series, Huffman said, "Oh my god, I have no idea. I think a lot of people could do it better than I did, so I can't wait to see it."

The new series, Wisteria Lane, is described as "a fun, sexy, darkly comedic soap/mystery, in the vein of Desperate Housewives, set around a group of five very different friends and sometimes frenemies who all live on a picture-perfect cul-de-sac called 'Wisteria Lane'.

On the surface, all the Wisteria neighbors are living the dream," the logline continues. "Beautiful homes, gorgeous families, shiny SUVs in the driveway — but behind those white picket fences and smiling Insta posts, are SECRETS."

Desperate Housewives originally aired for eight seasons between 2004 and 2012, following the seemingly perfect but dysfunctional lives of four women — Susan Mayer (Teri Hatcher), Lynette Scavo (Felicity Huffman), Bree Van De Kamp (Marcia Cross), and Gabrielle Solis (Eva Longoria).

The original series is now streaming in its entirety on Hulu.

People confirmed last month that an offshoot of Desperate Housewives was in the works and being produced by Washington, 48, through her Simpson Street Productions and 20th Television under Onyx Collective.

Washington's spin-off series is set to be a "fun, sexy, darkly comedic" take on the original, with a focus on a group of friends living on the iconic Wisteria Lane.
