ABC News Studio's latest documentary special, "Late to the Party: Coming Out Later in Life," is set to premiere on June 6, just in time for Pride Month. The documentary showcases the inspiring coming-out stories of older adults, including a 90-year-old man who came out as gay and a retired Baptist priest.

The documentary, produced by World of Wonder, the Emmy Award-winning team behind RuPaul's Drag Race, features writer Charles Blow, 54, who came out as bisexual in his 40s, as he speaks with individuals about their coming-out journeys and current lives. The trailer teases emotional stories, including a military veteran who was closeted for 29 years and a young woman who tearfully embraces her father after he calls her "brave."

The documentary aims to celebrate the resilience and strength of the LGBTQ+ community but also the incredible progress that has been made over the decades. As Charles Blow says in the trailer, "Coming out late in life, you are not alone. And you are fine, just the way you are."

Executive producers Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato say in an exclusive statement, "We're so proud to celebrate not only the resilience and strength of our community, but also the incredible progress that has been made over the decades." Senior executive producer David Sloan adds, "Highlighting the journeys of those who come out later in life is not only important — it's profoundly inspiring."

The documentary will air on June 6 on ABC and stream the following day on Hulu. Don't miss this inspiring and emotional ride.
