Elisabeth Moss, the actress and executive producer of The Handmaid's Tale, recently revealed how she convinced Taylor Swift to allow the use of her "Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor's Version)" rerecording in the Hulu series.

Moss wrote a heartfelt letter to Swift, explaining the significance of the song in the context of the show and its impact on her and the cast. The letter did the trick, and Swift gave her approval for the song to be featured in episode 9 of the sixth season.

"Honestly, the feedback was her saying yes," Moss said, adding that it was an honor to have Swift's music in the show.

The Handmaid's Tale cast, including Moss and Yvonne Strahovski, are self-proclaimed Swifties, and the opportunity to use one of Swift's tracks was a dream come true.

"I've been wanting to use a Taylor song for many years on the show, and we finally found the perfect spot for a track from her," Moss said. "I'm so glad we waited because there could not be a more perfect song for a more perfect moment."

The use of "Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor's Version)" came just before Swift announced that she now owns her masters, paving the way for possible re-recordings of her previous albums, including Reputation.
