Melania Trump Teams Up with AI to Release 7-Hour Audiobook in Her Own Voice

Published: May 22, 2025

Melania Trump is breaking new ground in the world of publishing by releasing an AI-narrated audiobook of her memoir, Melania. The first lady announced on Thursday, May 22, that she is ushering in a "new era in publishing" by releasing an AI-generated audiobook of her life's story for $25.

"I am honored to bring you Melania – The AI Audiobook – narrated entirely using artificial intelligence in my own voice," Trump, 55, shared on X. "Let the future of publishing begin."

The first lady's official website notes that the AI-generated replica of her voice was "created under Mrs. Trump’s direction and supervision."

About the Audiobook
  • The 7-hour audiobook is currently only available in English, but multiple foreign language versions will be released at a later date, commencing in Fall 2025.
  • The audiobook tells Melania's story of growing up in Slovenia, entering the world of high fashion, and eventually meeting and marrying President Donald Trump.
  • She also shares "stories and images never before shared with the public" from her early years, home life, and time in the White House as first lady.

A Mixed Stance on AI

While Melania has embraced AI for this latest venture, she recently spoken out against its use in other digital spaces.

In March, Trump joined a roundtable discussion on Capitol Hill in support of the "TAKE IT DOWN" Act, which her husband signed into law on May 19. The new law aims to protect victims of revenge pornography and deepfake porn, which is sexual content generated by artificial intelligence.

Deepfake pornography has targeted major celebrities like Taylor Swift and New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. It's also created new concerns about the creation and distribution of child pornography.
