Jenna Bush Hager Compares Co-Hosting with Savannah Guthrie to a 'Blind Date We've Been on for 10 Years'

Jenna Bush Hager and Savannah Guthrie have an epic friendship that has been on full display as they co-hosted Jenna & Friends from Universal's new Epic Universe theme park on May 21 ahead of the grand opening.

Bush Hager joined the Today show in Orlando, Florida, to broadcast live from the theme park, and she tells PEOPLE that being joined by her longtime pal Guthrie has been extra special.

"I'm having the best time. I just told her, I was like, 'We can totally talk about that on our show,'" Bush Hager says of Guthrie, laughing.

The two co-anchors can't seem to help but finish each other's sentences as they walked and talked through the Dark Universe world at Universal's Epic Universe theme park.

"Jenna has put that show on her shoulders," Guthrie says proudly. "And we've had amazing guest co-hosts, but it's like speed-dating. It's someone new every single day."

"To get to date your real friend—," Bush Hager starts, before Guthrie finishes, "Is easy. We've been dating for years, so it's easy."

"It's just like a blind date that we've been on for 10 years," Bush Hager affirms, before Guthrie adds, "Like an old pair of jeans you put on."

While at Epic Universe in Orlando, Fla., Bush Hager and Guthrie also took full advantage of the new rides the park has to offer.

They braved the biggest rollercoaster, Stardust Racers, in Celestial Park, though one of their first stops was actually a coaster in the How to Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk called Hiccup's Wing Gliders.

"We met Hiccup! And his little dragon friend," says Guthrie. "Toothless."

"We loved that one," confirms Bush Hager.

"I feel like we had a moment with Toothless," Guthrie teases, before Bush Hager reveals, "We kissed him!"
