Dakota Johnson is one lucky woman. Ahead of the release of her new romantic comedy "Materialists" on June 13, PEOPLE has an exclusive clip depicting the early stages of a love triangle between Johnson's Lucy, a modern matchmaker, and eligible bachelor Randy (Pedro Pascal) and her ex John (Chris Evans).

In the clip, Lucy tells Randy while sitting across from him in a blue gown at a wedding reception. "Love is easy," she says, to which Randy replies, "Is it? I find it to be the most difficult thing in the world."

The two are soon interrupted by John, who pops in with Lucy's favorite drink combo — a coke and a beer. The complicated love triangle even puts a strain on Lucy's confidence in her career.

"A young, ambitious New York City matchmaker finds herself torn between the perfect match and her imperfect ex," reads an official synopsis for the film.

The film marks only the second feature film from writer-director Celine Song, who broke out with 2022's Past Lives. Materialists is in theaters June 13, and also stars Marin Ireland, Louisa Jacobson, Zoe Winters, Sawyer Spielberg, and Dasha Nekrasova.
