Taylor Swift's boyfriend, Travis Kelce, is thrilled that she has finally regained ownership of her music catalog. The NFL star celebrated the news on his podcast, New Heights, dancing to Swift's hit song "I Knew You Were Trouble" with guest Shaquille O'Neal.
Last week, Swift purchased her original masters from Shamrock Capital, six years after they were sold to Scooter Braun. The singer-songwriter announced the news on Instagram, directing fans to a handwritten letter on her website.
In the letter, Swift confirmed that she has already finished re-recording her 2006 self-titled debut album and has less than a quarter of Reputation re-recorded. She expressed her excitement and gratitude to her fans, saying that she is finally in control of her original work.
Kelce, 35, showed his support for Swift, 35, on his podcast, saying, "Shout out to Tay Tay. Just got that song back, too. Just bought all her music back, so it's finally hers." He added, "I appreciate that, dog. Love you, big Diesel."
Swift's music catalog victory has been met with praise from her fans and fellow artists, including Carole King, who praised Swift for taking back control of her music.
