Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood Address Feud Rumors for the First Time in Raw New Interview

Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood are setting the record straight about their rumored feud, and it's all about love and admiration. In a joint interview with Variety, the actors, who played star-crossed lovers Rick and Chelsea on season 3 of The White Lotus, addressed the speculation head-on.

"There is No Feud"

"There is no feud. I adore, I love this woman madly, and she is so important to me," Goggins said of Wood. "This is Goldie Hawn. This is Meg Ryan. She can do anything, and she will. You watch what the next 20 years of her experience will be."

Goggins continued, "She is love, and I know that I am that to her. We care about each other very deeply."

The Instagram Unfollowing Incident

Fans of The White Lotus first speculated on a rift between the actors when they briefly unfollowed each other on Instagram after the season 3 finale. They have since refollowed each other.

Regarding the Instagram situation, Wood said she found it indicative of "where we're at culturally."

"Why is everyone obsessing over Instagram? That is irrelevant. We don't give a shite about Instagram," she said. "Why not have conversations about the story and Rick and Chelsea and enjoy it?"

Goggins' Catharsis

Goggins explained that unfollowing Wood on Instagram after the show was his way of processing the experience.

"My catharsis in this experience was different than other people's, because of my history in this place. I knew what we had gone through, and I knew how close that we had gotten, and I needed to begin to process saying goodbye to Rick and Chelsea," Goggins said, getting emotional.

Goggins also noted that he told Wood he needed to unfollow her for himself and what he was going through, saying she was "extremely supportive about that."
